Mealworms gone badly..

So I breed my own meal worms it's been super easy so far I haven't bought mealworms in forever. I had my first beetle colony for several months before they died off leaving me with a gap in production so finally after about a month my numbers were back up I have almost enough good size worms to start feeding off, then suddenly my month old or less beetles start dying.. The disturbing part in finding several dead beetles all missing their heads.
What is going wrong...
What can I do to stop this nothing has changed about housing except I recently moved to a new house. My other feeders are not effected

Beetles don't live very long, so a month is about it for their life cycle. If you hatched beetles all at the same time, they will likely die at the same time (if you keep adding beetles as they hatch, obviously there will always be live and dead beetles). When they die they dry out and also may get munched on by other beetles and baby worms which is why the heads are sometimes missing.

Better that than seeing your colony having 2 other animals feed out of your bins (since i don't put a lid on). I saw a wild tokay and another house gecko munching on my mealworms. When i turned on the light they went nuts and run off into separate directions lol

Huh thought they lived longer.. That must be it then. They were just my second colony so with this one there will be more variation in their ages so I'm not left with another gap.
Thanks
