A quick description. He is a Blue dragon HMPK with a layer of yellow with green irridesence on his fins aswell as blue irridesence, he also has a layer of black on his body and a layer of white uner his head. He is very young, much much younder then i would have liked. About 1" long :p. I dont reccomend anyone buy bettas that small unless they have the propper food for them.

Nice lol. I wish i could get some new shots of him but my camera is broken. He is coloring up nicley. I love it. I moved him into the 10gal yesterday. I gave him a little over a weeks Qt. Imo, he passed fine. His feces were perfect, obviously he shows no outward signs of issues, not that i didnt treat him with anti-parasitic food up until today. My Petsmart has appearntly been feeding all the fish Jungle anti parasitic which is great. I over heard/eves dropped in on a convo. I love bettas eyes, they all have diffrent colors. His are light light teal, you can see a little of it in the pics. His tail has colored out, solid yellow, green rays, blue and black edge.

What does this anti parasitic food do? I'm asssuming it prevents parasites or kills them? So if I get a betta should I feed it so when I put it in the tank with other fish it wont spread the disease( if they have parasites)?

The betta shouldn't be put in the tank with the other fish until its been through quarantine. I would never recommend that somebody QT for only a week unless they have plenty of experience.

Jungle Anti-parasitic food is basically the only thing i would use for internal parasites. It lacks in nutrition. The just feed it to them during QT as a precaution.

As i always say, have a back up tank. ALWAYS have a separate tank that is FULLY FUNCTIONAL in the event your betta doesn't get along with tank mates.

Not right, not unless its a COMPLETE divide, a divider that vents or has any small holes wont work. It would need to be solid glass. Which they dont exactly sell. You need to cut and silicone it in place which requires the tank be torn down. Then you need a separate heater and filter. For Qt the fish must be separate. Completely. I feed a variety of pellets, NLS, attisons, HBH, and frozen food.

Id still say no. The water from one side can evaporate and re-condense on the other side, The fish can splash the water and so on.
