I wanted to put these 2 brothers together for a few pictures since they seem so different to me (not just in pattern, but proportions too). I kept one in my hand so I wouldn't have to break up any fights, but they didn't seem bothered by one another at all. I got to checking and it turns out the RAPTOR is actually a female (which explains the different proportions). I thought I'd seen pores a long time ago and never bothered sexing again. So anway, that's the embarassing story behind these pictures.

That is a really funny story, but the good part is that you can breed them together for good looking babies.

They both are nice, especially the one in your hand. I love it's pattern.

Stunning!

Quick qeustion...it looks like the tips of the tails are super long, is that supposed to be how they look? Nyx's tail doesn't have a long tip, just a tiny little thing. The rest of the tail is fat and squishy and all, but yeah, just a little bitty tip.

Here is the best pic I have of it.....is this ok/normal?

Oh good to know. The girl we adopted her from said the kids who originally had her and "pulled on the tail and some of it fell off!!!!!"

I wasn't sure if that was true or not, but now I guess I can kind of see where it grew back since the spots seem a little off from the rest. She will be fine with her tail like that right?

These 2 are giants, so they're a little longer than a typical leo in proportion also. I actually had that RAPTOR sold until I realized it was a female, so it wasn't the best revelation for me. I won't be breeding them to one another since they're siblings and I probably won't be keeping either of them long enough for breeding anyway. I had a specific breeding project in mind, but I'm starting to think I'll never get it off the ground.

They're looking good, Kevin! Sorry "she" turned out to be a he. I'm sure you can find a good use for a female raptor, though;)
