Moist hide

Well I have been having to replace my moist hide paper towels just about everyday...I have a hole cut in the side of the rubbermaid container...should I get a new one and cut a hole in the lid or how can I make the hide retain more moisture?

The side is the best way to retain moisture. The problem isn't where your opening is, it is just that paper towels do not hold moisture very well. I use sphagnum moss and it works well for me.

You dont need to replace the paper towels daily, when they dry out just moisten them again. You can moisten them again a few times before changing them out.

i prefer to have the hole on my humid hides on the top. a hole big enough for the geckos to get in and out and still hold the humidity. also with holes on the top the humid hide substrate stays in better. i generally place the humid hide on the warm side
