So I was seting up the photobox and taking out the babies. And Sherbert Dropped her tail!!!! Bless it a million times over and I could see on the tip of the tail some bite marks. (Damn Smokey) Thought the "cut" was pretty clean. (Ive seen bad cuts on people and the flesh wasent torn on the tail so it looked pretty good. But man. Im sorry Debbie I feel really bad. Even though she's mine I still know breeders will allways have a certain connection. Thanks David for calming me down a bit.... JMO :D (David will get it)

I took some pics of the tail, but I couldnt bring myself to take pics of sherbert with out her elegant tail:main_laugh: :main_thumbsdown:

You should have seen the tear on my cheek when my SS bliz dropped the end 1/3 of his tail... He's still sexy though:main_yes:

I have an INSANE tang dorsal stripe with a full regen when I got her, she has laid eggs already. It's best to let is grow back before breeding.......

We have a Gem Snow who had lost her entire tail at some point, she has no problems laying. She's got the fattest stump I've ever seen!

As it grows back keep putting bagbalm on it (found at feed and grain stores and is for keeping cow utters from cracking)

That stuff is amazing !

Oh Jerome, I'm so sorry. :( She will be just fine without her tail. Great suggestion on the bag balm, Paul.

Definitely let her heal on up before breeding her, but she'll be just fine. ;)

BTW, her clutchmate is already 50 grams.........:main_thumbsup: She'll be good in no time. :main_yes:
