ok i was looking at my female mack about 3 1/2-4 mos old and noticed a bit of an awkward sort of lift in her lip. these arent the best of pix but here is what i saw. Do u think it is mouth rot? It has sort of a black coloring, but I was thinking maybe there is a black spot sort of half in her mouth that is causing a 3D effect, or possible mouth rot. Please give me your input. The spot is about in between the end of the mouth and the front of the mouth. Or maybe an oddly shaped tooth? Idk......Here is little Snowbell:

Lol thnx. she is my first mack. she is het bell and het blizzard and sooooooooo adorable and i REALLY dont want her to be sick. I have gotten bsabies from petstores way back when when i didnt know hardly anything about leos and now i finally got some HEALTHY babies and i am hoping to raise them to be beautiful, tame leos.

She is still eating crickets and pooing(ALOT) if that helps.......

Bubblez! I'm not an expert on geckos, but to me it just looks like a weird tooth. I think I heard that geckos stop eating when they have mouthrot, so if she's eating a lot I think shes fine. Shes really cute!!! See ya

Have you tried wiping it with a wet q-tip? I once saw something similar, and was about the pick up the phone to make vet appointment; but later found out its just dried superworm juice...

Ewww worm juice :p. She wont let me touch her mouth but i can try again. lol i tried it last night hoping she might at least bite the qtip or something but no touching her face is allowed in her book . Yes she is eating alot and pooing fine so if its a misshpaed tooth its ok? Any other opinions welcome :).

I wish I could help you, but I really have no idea on that one! But I agree that if she is eating, then everything should be just fine :) Did you talk to the breeder about it?

I have one that has a similar spot on her mouth. She shed bad once and it just never healed perfectly. The inside of her mouth is fine and she eats everyday, so I haven't been worried.

Here are some current DAYLIGHT pictures. The spot on her mouth has gotten darker and a TINY bit bigger. It has turned up her lip a LITTLE bit. I also added 2 cute pix :D. Here they are:

I have a little rescue that gets that all the time and i figured its a stuck shed because it always happens a couple days after a shed.

I cant figure out how to fix it i mean i got the moist hide and everything is right and it still happens, but i fix it everytime.

I just use a wet Q-tip and tweezers once you get it off it heals quickly.

I just know a regular spot on the inside of the mouth and a little bit on the lip looks exactly like that, our SS has one too :main_yes:
