My alternative substrate!

Just thought i'd let you all know that my temps are now perfect, after buying alot of lamps, making the electricity go out 2 times, a burned lamp holder and some bike rides!
Temps are now 78F cold side, 96F Under spot.
I also now have my spot on the left side, not in the middle anymore this will be better too :)
Also added one more hide, never turned the UV lights on anymore and now all that is left to do for me is get new filling stones!
Thanks again everybody for the great help, my gecko adores you!

Hello i have been watching you thread grow steadily and have seen alot of good info given out. It is always nice to now there are so many willing to help instead of just picking away at your set up but i also love the fact that you have spent so much time trying to make sure everything gets the way it should be for your gecko. your doing a great job trying to get your leo what he needs keep up the good work as far as 96 being your hot side yeah its a bit hot but nothing drastic just move the light up away a little bit more and you should be there . Love the look of the tank

Yeah Razerwirereptiles, I completely agree with you!
The temp is now abouts 93F and cold side still 78F so it's ok now!
While my enclosure is now good, my gecko seems to have permanent damage, I think her nerves are really badly "broken".
Gave her mealworms today, one crawled under her and she started shaking her head, her body, she totally freaked!
The same thing happened when I tried to pick her up to weigh her, she totally freaked from the touch.
She is still eating, but not much, about 4 meelworms 3 times a week.
Well atleast she still has apetite, problem is that about after 3 or 4 worms, she will miss one, which then crawls under her, she freaks, and then dinner time is over, she will totally neglect the food after that.
I hope this will get better :(
Well, atleast everything in the tank is oké now :)
