You know you are going to have to baby her and buy her lots of toys and her favorite junkfoods when you get her back from the vet right? At least that's what my mom did for me everytime I came out of the hospital after doing some of my "stupid human tricks". I still got some of my chew toys!

Hope Abby gets the "hitch in her git" back after the surgeries!

She is already spoiled beyond belief, but, she will definately be even more spoiled after the operations. I am already looking for a new bed for her, a nice big fluffy one so she will be comfortable. And, as for treats, only the best for her! I buy them by the bag full at my local Feed and Grain store (Got to keep local businesses going!). She is already getting extra love-hugs-cuddle time :main_thumbsup:

Yes, I am lucky (And so is Abbie). I can't wait for the operations to be over with, it breaks my heart to see Abbie limping and to know she is in pain. She used to be so hyper, she would run from one end of the house, to the other end, and repeat the process about 3-4 times without stopping (It is the funniest site to see!) And, she used to love playing with her buddy Brittney, but she just can't anymore, at least not to the extent as she used to. It makes Brittney sad too, she howls and howls at Abbie trying to get her to play, she rolls around on her back , jumps on Abbie, but Abbie just looks at her and sighs.

You are blessed with some wonderful friends -not many people are that giving and unselfish these days

OK, I am getting so nervous! Abbie goes for her operation tomorrow morning. I will be dropping her off at the Vet at 9:30 A.M. And, she will be staying there overnight. That is going to be the LONGEST day - night of my life! It is going to be so hard not having her around tomorrow night.

God, I am such a WHIMP! I am tearing up just thinking about it! That girl is going to be so spoiled tonight! We are going to have just Abbie and Jeanne time!

Good luck with the surgery I hope everything gos smoothly. It is very hard to stay home while an animal is staying over night at the vet. you do nothing but think about them and worry. But the vet is usually pretty tolerant of the million calls to see how they are doing! lol

I know this is an odd thought, but I'm sleep deprived and that happens! She's gonna get to wear a head cone for awhile! Heehee....they look like vaccuum cleaners when they're eating something off the floor. Lord, I need some sleep.

I'm sure this is going to be much harder on you than it will be for her...you're being a good mommie and getting her the help she needs. She'll be the bouncy puppy you love in no time!

Thanks everyone. The Vet now officially thinks I am a wimp. I cried when they took her away. They are going to take X-rays and blood work and then give me a call.

I just talked to my roommate, and he said that Brittany is going crazy looking for Abbie, she is missing her already too

She will have to get a Belated Birthday Hug. I won't be able to bring her home until tomorrow.
