My female's tummy

I wasn't sure where to put this, because it's not related to breeding, but it may be reproductive.

I know she's not gravid because she's lives with another female, but I noticed these white spots on her belly, and was wondering what they are. I'm not referring to the 2 skin patches on either side at that bottom, that's stuck shed that I just noticed when I was taking the picture (she'll get a little soak tonight), but there are a few white spots elsewhere in her belly. Are they normal, or could they be unfertilized eggs? If they are will she lay them? DH has been noticing that she is looking kinda "fat" in the tummy area. I'm almost certain that her cage-mate is female.

Yeah, I upped the contrast so you could see the spots better. They aren't really pink, more white. Could it just be fat? Geez, is she almost looking male in this pic? Those bumps are too small right (she's 2yrs old)? When I first got her her pores were quite dark, but they lightened up.

The pictures aren't that great, but I tend to agree that in the pictures it almost looks like that gecko is male. Could you get better photos, possibly? And while you're at it, could you get pics of the other "female" so we can be sure who's who?

Here is one I took of the other one earlier. Her tail was really far forward though, but I think she's pretty clearly female eh? My other pics were taken with the flash off so you could see the spots.

Before I rescued them a month ago they lived together (for the past 2 yrs) and have never reproduced so I assumed they must be female, although they were kept in poor living conditions (only source of heat was a single heat rock).

I'll have to get more pics of the other one later tonight or tomorrow.

That gecko is definately female. So that takes care of that.I think what you're seeing is part of the fat pads which appears to be covered by a large green area which I believe to be the liver. Your best bet would be to have an ultrasound or good xrays from this little gecko to see exactly what is going on, if you can afford it.

Oh, and another question, do the pores on a male lighten and darken? Does a female ever have dark pores? When I first got the first one (the one who's gender is in question) it's pores were visibly dark, but I didn't think the bulges were big enough for a 2yr old male. Really if it's a male he's not very well endowed, lol. I just took a quick peek at them again, and the bulge area is definitely a little bigger on the first one, but I'm not sure that they are big enough. I'll get a pic tomorrow for sure and probably make a new thread.

They could possibly lighten and darken. What they do most of the time is produce "wax" so if you start seeing that, then you know for sure....i'm looking foreward to more pictures whenever you get them up. :)

He/she definitely seems quite healthy. It's not that I can't afford it, but I would hate to blow that kind of money just to find that it's perfectly normal fat deposits, lol. I'll definitely keep a close eye on him/her though, and if anything seems off I'll take him/her in. Unless of course anyone thinks it looks like something serious.
