Have you found any poop or anything at all yet? If you haven't, she definitely hasn't shed yet. We usually just wait until we see the first poo before feeding. If you have seen poop, then she has had her first shed and should be eating.. If this is the case, you could try hand feeding her some of Marcia's slurry until you can find some mealies or better crickets. If you can't find all of the ingredients in the slurry, baby food alone can also be used.

Jess (or Mike for that matter lol) you've been so much more than helpful :) You can bet when I'm ready for a snow, I'm coming to you guys!

I have some frozen slurry that I'm defrosting right now, just in case.

I checked this morning and saw some green smears on the papertowel, looks like duck poo actually. I found that this morning, so I'm assuming that's what it is. I stuck an even smaller ceramic container in there with the worms in it, so we'll see if that may help.

I'm just so nervous because she's my first baby ever, even my adults I bought at 1+ years old.

Ahh it's always me (Jess) ;) but we both always love to help :main_yes:

Wow, you have frozen slurry, you sure are prepared!! That's awesome :D

Green smears, huh? I have never heard of that, but I just now read that often times their poo will be greenish after eating their shed, so that should be a good sign :) Their poo can also be grayish after eating shed, too.

I hope she does start eating soon, she may also just be a bit shy to eat while you are around, so best of luck and keep us updated!

Haha yah, I had a female I purchased awhile back that was SUPER skinny (I think she'd been overbred at a young age). So I made up some slurry, froze it in a brownie pan, and then chopped it up into cubes, just in case I had use of it in the future. Well I'm glad I did!

I wet her paper town down a bit last night, to help her shed if she wanted to...she was kind of getting the look like she was about to. That's probably why the poo was smeared into the towel...it was wet. I'm going to assume she's shed...the "yellower" area on her back is even more yellow now it seems.

Here's a picture I just snapped Jess...the yellow tint to her back white area is really hard to catch on the camera it's so faint, but I swear it's gotten more prominent...

Yeah, the yellow tinting will get more prominent after each shed, most likely. Her back pattern is so cool, she will be fun to watch grow up and change :main_yes:

I'll definitely post pictures of little Nala (or Simba if it's a boy...what can I say, I'm a Disney movie nut) as she grows and changes. I'm really excited to see her pattern and colors appear!

Yo, if you can afford it, you might want to try Phoenix worms. They are the best food you can feed leopards--I've had awesome growth rates since I switched to feeding phoenix worms only. Phoenix worms have the perfect calcium/phosphorus ratio for carnivorous lizards--so you don't need to dust them with calcium--Although, I do leave a small dish of herptivite mixed 75/25 with calcium with d3. Congrats and good luck with the little one! sure looks like a cute little Mack to me :main_thumbsup:

Well here's a picture after her first shed...MUCH more yellow showing through the white. She did just fine, checked on her one minute and she was just about to shed, I went in 3 minutes later and she was done :) As far as parentage, I left a few messages with the only number I was given by the guy I bought her from...hopefully I'll get a call back soon. She really is a VERY long little thing!

I finally found some mealworms online, should be here tomorrow :main_thumbsup: I looked into Phoenix worms, the only problem being their cost. We have two rottweilers that out-weigh, AND out-eat me, making our food bill a liiiiittle outrageous already lol.

Well I started supplementing her with the slurry recipe I found on here because she hasn't eaten a bit. She has shed already like I said a few days ago, but it's been a full week. She may just be tiny, and unsure of the size of the food. I tried pinhead crickets and they were too fast for her...when I pulled the legs off she wasn't interested. Mealworms are too large, and wax worms I think she has a hard time seeing on the paper towels. She licks up the slurry pretty good though, so I know she won't be dying of hunger or dehydration. Ignore the sound in the background, camera battery was low...I didn't have an eyedropper, so used an old eyedrop container instead :)

I know she will, probably when she gains a few grams. She's so itty bitty...I think that's the problem. I know she has plenty enough heat, and the cool end of the tub is just fine. It would just KILL me if she didn't make it, so I'll keep feeding her the slurry every day until I'm positive she's eating on her own.

We have chaaanges :)

All of a sudden, I went in to feed her this morning, and she looked a LOT bigger - funny how when you're around her daily you don't notice, then it hits you like a ton of bricks!

Her coloring is changing...her back legs have adopted much more of a yellow hue, her head has a lighter spot on it, and she's beginning to get black speckles in her white areas near her tail and head.

I still have NO idea what this little girl is. No word back from the breeder of her parents on the possible father.
