I just got back from the reptile show and came home with a red flame crested. The hard part is going to be getting pictures which I'm still working on.

Soon as I get back from the vet with another leopard gecko I'll upload some pictures.

My CGD came in today and I mixed some so we'll see if s/he eats any. I won't be surprised if it hasn't been touched in the morning.

Nice Crestie!
Congrats!!
Now watch out because If you think that Leos are addictive

Rhacs are even worse!
They are fantastic lizards

I started with 2 Cresteds -added 3 more and eventually added two Leachies and a trio of Gargs

I am trying to stop there-lol

I keep looking in the critter keeper to see where s/he is. I can't get over how small they are at first.

They are neat animals. I'm sure that you'll enjoy yours.

With the CGD, don't be surprised if you don't see much indication that he is eating. At first, I could barely see any signs that my girl was converting to the CGD. Only later did she eat most of what I'd give her.

I put some in last night and it didn't look like it took any. I'm going to put a little bit less in tonight with crickets.

Is there any real way to tell if they are eating the cgd? Mine doesn't seem very interested....actually not at all. I've been feeding s/he crickets every day and puting the cgd in the tank at night.

It can be hard to tell with babies and younger geckos. Just provide a little bit, and you may be lucky to tell if it's eaten by morning. Just keep providing it.

Try the crickets every few days. The gecko may be getting full on crickets and not eating the CGD.

I never thought mine was eating it either but i have caught them on the edge of the cgd dish licking it, i just think at this age they cant eat very much of it so it looks like they havent had any.
