So my leo laid her first eggs yesterday. By the time I noticed they were completely dry..When I went to go put them in the perlite, i noticed one seemed lighter and..hollower? than the other...

I put it in the perlite and it dented MAJORLY on the bottom and a little on the top. But the other one was heavier and more firm

The super dented one is still white looking today but the firmer one is literally half white and half yellow. Why is it like that? Does that mean it's a bad egg?

Eggs that are no good can vary from getting dried, shriveled and calcified looking to soft and mushy looking. In any case, the ultimate end for bad eggs is moldy and stinky and the ultimate ending for good eggs is a hatchling. The general wisdom is to incubate until you get to one of the 2 ultimate ends. Did she lay the eggs in a lay box? What are you using for substrate? I have a leo that seems to lay outside the box (thinking outside the box is good; laying outside the box is bad) no matter what I do and on Friday I caught her just after laying the second one. THe first was already denting and is clearly no good. The second has that little bulls eye and I caught it in time.

My firs one laid outside the box, but the second one laid in the box.

And what does a "bulls-eye" look like?

And I'm not sure this is related, but both my second girl's eggs have a clearly reddish mark on the bottom...like someone drew a line with a really thin red marker on them, but as far as I know no one found the eggs before I did (they were in the lay box when I got home from school and one was half-buried). Is that a natural thing or did someone maybe mark them for some reason? I'm really confused about that..

But it's just a line? I did a google search and the bulls eye actually is rounded, right? So why would I have just a thin red line? It's about an inch long and straight..ish?

That's weird...anybody have a suggestion as to what it might have been?
