My first hatchling- probably a Banded Mack Snow RAPTOR

Well, the clutchmate "hatched" while I was at the gym. I'm pretty sure it's dead. It was only halfway out of the egg. Its development was substandard and it had an immense amount of yolk remaining. It was a Mack Snow het Eclipse het Tremper. Two smaller than normal eggs remain. Three weeks left for that clutch.

I'll post a pic later. I tried to use a TENS/EMS unit to use a stepwise progression of charges to attempt to possibly save it before too much time had passed (restarts the heart and also tends to stimulate breathing in the case of respiratory arrest- I have used this successfully with tree frogs and aquatic turtle hatchlings), but even the skeletal muscles were not responsive. Likewise, the pupils were fixed and dilated, with no contraction occurring when exposed to several types and intensities of light. I was too late.
