We lost power for 10-12 hours about a month ago and I had one clutch in the incubator... I hoped nothing bad would happen to the babies, but my worst fear came true tonight... :(:(:(

I've had a few tail kinks, but nothing like that and they didn't hatch kinked either... Thankfully there were no other eggs in there because I never want to see this again... They'll both be up for adoption after growing a bit...

:(

Like I said in the other post, they are still very beautiful! It's not your fault anyway...but I imagine it hurts to have seen them come out like that. You still have other clutches from the same parents of these guys, don't you?

Yeah, I have two more clutches and she'll probably lay at least one more (ovulating heavily still)... I know it's not genetic, but who would buy them?

PET QUALITY MACK SNOW BELLS .. $??????

eye notches, tail kinks...... disclose the imperfection and reduce the price. Not every gecko is sold as a breeder animal and pets are no less lovable with kinks, 3 legs, pig tailed, no tailed, no toes, ..........

Mike, I'm so sorry you had your first incubator mishap. They are beautiful babies, nontheless! ;) I think it gives them character. :D They'll make fabulous pets!

eta: I had my first 'bator mishap this year, also, and it sucked. I know firsthand just how disheartening it can be. I had some temp fluctuation before I could fix the problem....now I have a very special little boy with a mishapen/half right front leg. It has one toe on it. His name is 'Digit'. ;).

Glad I wasn't breeding this year then.... we were with out power for 3 days back in September:main_huh: would have sucked a lot worse if I would have had eggs to worry about too. Let us know how the other clutches turn out Michael.

I can only agree with wich is already said. I'm sure every breeder already had babies who arn't for 100% perfect.

We arn't perfect either. Does that make us worse people? no I don't think so. The same with geckos. Though I understand how you feel about it, your babies are still 'good looking' and I'm sure you will find a lovely home for them.

I might consider them, they are both very beautiful

Are these babies TS male or TS female, I would assume male because of the 45 day of incubation but the 10-12 hours of out power would that have affected them in anyway?

They are so beautiful, *pets them gently and smiles*

oh, and incidentally, going by my screen name, i'm sure you can tell there's lots wrong with me, but that didn't stop my parents from wanting to keep me ;)

We had an incubator mishap a couple of months ago and we had 1 little hatchling come out with a deformed foot. I am keeping Orbie. He is so sweet natured. I think someone will be happy to get one of your beautiful babies. Imperfections or not- what's not to love about the little guys. Good luck with all your other babies on the way.

Thanks for the compliments and encouragement everybody!

Zynx (sorry I don't know your name) was the first to inquire about these little buggers so they'll be going to Oklahoma in a few weeks... Thanks to all who offered to take them in!

They were incubated for an even sex ratio...
