Well, I got the reptile bug again after having pet turtles in the past years. Did some research , or a lot of it and found out that leopard gecko's make great pets, and are fairly inexpensive. I set out to buy a normal one from ******** , which I guess was good since I noticed they had about 6 or 7 crammed up in a 5 gallon cage. My girlfriend and I picked one out, and took her home to her 10 gallon tank where she was free to rome alone. Anyways here she is, i dunno how old she is, my guess is a few weeks old ? I've had her since dec. 27 2008. She's on a cricket and mealworm diet and gaining weight quickly . Anyways, shes a lot of fun and I can see myself getting more of these sometime later in the future :)

She IS very cute :) Congratulations!

One thing I noticed in the pictures though, is that she has some flaky and dry skin. Do you have a moist hide for her?

Could be. A lot of the chain store geckos are very dehydrated. They are kept on sand, and that only makes it worse! If she shed alright, then all is fine :)

I hope shes not dehydrated, theres water in there that she better be drinking. She did get very milk white kind of one night though , then the next morning she was bright( this was after the pics)

Cute gecko! Welcome to the forum! BTW, is that calcium powder on her head and I think she's getting some carrot tail there.

Carrot tail is the orange at where her tail meets her body. Depending on how much comes in, she may very well turn out to be a SHTCT - Super Hypo Tangerine Carrot Tail. The Super Hypo part refers to her body having no spots, and that will depend on how she grows :) You'll be amazing in the next few months with how much she will change, and how quickly!
