I'll be MORE than careful. I know they don't mean to bite... they just don't know the difference between you 98.6 degree hand and prey, especially at night.

Wow. Sweet GTP. I am sure that with all your knowledge on keeping geckos, you will not have any problems taking care of your GTP, even if its not a beginners snake. I have owned snakes for 8 years and I am still scared of buying a GTP. But I really want one. I will keep uo with you and see how you do. Congrats!!

LOL, Brendan... I just call him 'Cha-Cha' for short. BTW. he just ate his second meal, and it only took him about 2 seconds to strike. YAY!!!!

Cathy, I adore him! I have him on your Sunday feeding schedule, and it only takes him a few seconds to chow down! He's pooped once, and eaten twice since I've had him. He is starting to 'beg' for food, LOL!!!

I've pretty much left him alone so he could settle in, but he seems very well adjusted so far. I haven't handled him yet, but will need to clean his tub tomorrow... so let's hope he's a good boy and doesn't think my hand is something to eat!

His new PVC cage (Jim Sharphorn) will be here in about 2 weeks, but he seems to like his tub just fine for now. I can't wait until I can see him when I'm in the reptile room all day. He's so gorgeous, he deserves to be shown off.

Cathy, thank you for such a lovely creature. I love him soooo much!

They really are fascinating animals. I have two right now and have had a few in the past. They are one of my favorite snakes.
