This trait popped up in my Mack Snow Blizzard group in 2006... In 2008 I bred a gene carrying MS Blizzard to one of my best Bells which produced the first FJs het for Bell... The next year I bred one of the female offspring to a MS Bell... From them I hatched the first FJMS Bell and the first non MS FJ which was a Bell as well... Up until that first non MS FJ I had believed the trait was linked to Macks and could only be expressed while in the MS form...

In 2010 two of the females from the 2008 cross were bred to a Reverse Stripe Radar by my friend Britt Gougeon... I selected a male from one and a female from the other... They were the best offspring produced from the pairings so I knew I was going to hatch some killer babies!

Up until this point I had been fairly certain this was a dominant trait, but wanted to see what happened when crossed to proven stripe lines... Now that I've hatched several [4] babies from this pairing I'm confident to call my Funky Jungle line a dominant morph... One aspect that some may not favor is that these guys ''kill'' the regular striped pattern... I've never hatched a regular stripe from any FJ pairings... On the other hand, their tendency to have very bold markings and the fact that every one to hatch is different should negate them from being ''stripe killers''...

Have not weighed them, but they are no different in size than any other babies I've hatched...

This one will be the most interesting to watch I think... He should retain the pattern well unless he's carrying the dang Blizzard gene... I'm pretty sure the first non Bell FJ will be super clean like a high quality Bold Stripe as he's lacking the back leg spots... If this one follows suit oh crap he'll be smokin'...

I'm only breeding this pair in 2011 and it makes up for lacking in the quantity department... :main_yes:
