My gecko is "safer" around me.

My one gecko is always in the same hide (or the moist hut if she is shedding). But when I walk in, no matter what time of night it is, or if it is day time. She will come out.
It doesn't matter if I pay attention to her, or just go to sleep. She thinks I am her "guardian" and won't come out unless I am in the room.
My other gecko is all over the place, though.
Anyone else have this kind of behavior?

My female seems to know when to expect me home from work.
She will stick her head out of the moist hide when I walk into the
room, than she comes out and stares at me while I talk to her and
reach in to pet her head.
She then goes into her warm cave and "ques up" for dinner.

One of my males does the same "queuing up", like he is getting prepared
to pounce on a cricket.

My other male prefers mealies, so when he sees me, he goes to the spot
where I always put the mealie dish, plops himself down on that spot,
and waits. :D

Ya, whenever I come in the room, they stare out the window into the closet (where the roaches are), and start preparing.

I have 2 geckos that I hand feed crickets. At feeding time they line up in front of the cage to wait their turns. Right now they are brumating, so I won't be the automat till mid Jan.

my gecko spends most of his time hanging out in the open but he always wakes up and looks at me when he hears me. sometimes he sits on top of his cave and watches me when i'm sitting on the couch.

Your gecko probably comes out because he associates you with food so he/she comes out when you come in your room because they think it is food time. Atleast that is how my gecko act.

Our super giant male thinks he is supposed to get out anytime he sees us. He is a big rotten baby. He would spend all of his time out with us if we would let him.
