Yeah its great to find out the person you are buying geckos from doesn't keep good records!! :)

First off I'd like to apologize to the OP for a slight hijack of your thread, but some things just need to be set straight. Also, congratulations again on your cute hatchling!

Next....If your going to quote somebody, you damn well know what was meant by that quote. If you think I'm endorsing finding "hidden" hets or something, your very mistaken. What I MEANT by "surprises", is when I look into my incubator and find geckos, it's a nice "surprise". I had 4 nice "surprises" yesterday in fact.

As far as you accusing the breeder of the parents of this gecko of not keeping "good records", that's another thing that is highly speculative. You have ZERO knowledge about who's keeping good records or not. It can take several generations for a certain gene to pop out, so how can you accuse someone of bad record keeping? This might be the very first one to have popped out in this line.....and BTW, I was congratulating the OP because if you would have read his post, it stated that he was "STOKED"!!!!

Sorry if I'm sounding a bit harsh, but you really shouldn't just post the first piece of junk that pops into your head sometimes. You may be insulting a highly respected breeder on here who did NOTHING wrong! Check your facts before spouting off at the mouth next time before trying to make someone look stupid.

Super sick hatch bro. Be sure to swing it by when you check out the new reptile room.

So much drama on these forums these days. LOL way to go Dusty.

O also come check out the new pad and baby (of human kind). Take easy bro.

Why are you so upset?
I didn't see accusations...are they related to your geckos?

Hidden hets are becoming a bit of a problem...I don't remember it happening as often a few seasons ago...

In any case, I would have been super stoked to get a surprise like that!

Not related to mine at all. I'm just saying that it's not cool to try and make me look like I'm happy for the hidden het by quoting me. It was uncalled for. Would you appreciate it if it was you that sold the parents and were accused of bad record keeping? I know you would be upset because you are a responsible breeder like most of us try to be. Wowolski has no idea who bred the parents and for all he knows they may be the best record keeper ever. No biggie....I've since taken my med's and am all better. :main_thumbsup:

Yes hidden hets can be a problem and it can happen to anyone. Doesn't make the breeder bad because he didn't know. It is getting harder and harder to tell when you have leos with multiple hets and you breed it to another with a long list of hets. It happens though. In this case it was a good surprise. It becomes a problem when you get into the whole mixing albino strains etc.
