Hi everyone,
I woke up this morning to find my little leo Lola has died,I havent stopped crying,Im devastated. I am trying to work out what went wrong.
She hadnt eaten properly for about two weeks, just taking a mealworm now and again, or a waxworm, and even then I had to get the heads off and squeeze the guts on her nose to tempt her. I tried everything, I changed her food, the temps were good, I was using paper towel as substrate, always clean water, but when she died she looked so thin and shrivelled.
The poor thing was practically skin and bone, and that happened very quickly, by the end I was trying to give her water through a syringe. I really thought she would be okay as I know they sometimes dont eat for weeks but maybe I was just being optimistic.
I loved that little thing so much, I will never get another one,I cant cope with things dying!I am just trying to work out whether she had a parasite or was ill as she went downhill very fast. Her skin looked very wrinkly too, like it had been pinched. I dont know if anone else has had a similar experience, I would hate to think that I had done anything to contribute to the death of my leo.
Thanks for any information x:(

I'm so sorry for your loss. It would be helpful to know where you got her from, about how old she was and how long you had her. I could speculate about what may have happened, but I think I"ll wait till you let us know that information.

I'm only a novice, but it doesn't sound like you did anything wrong from what you've said.
