Hello everyone, fairly new poster here. I have a 2 year old leo (blizzard color morph) who has stopped eating altogether. I've tried crickets (large and small) wax worms (used to be his favorite) and meal worms, but he wont touch anything. It has gotten to the point that his tail is very small and his body is also showing signs of thinning. I've managed to force feed him some baby food but he's never been very cooperative when it comes to being held. Last night I tried to pick him up to feed him and he "growled" at me. He was also so squirmy I couldnt even keep a hold on him without fear of injury.

I have managed to rub his belly to check for impaction and there are no signs. Also a day or 2 after I feed him he does poop a little. He shed a few days ago but didnt eat the shed either. I'm very worried for the little guy. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know!

Thanks!
David

i'll have to check. the ambient temp in the house hasnt changed, nor has the bulb so I dont imagine that temp would be a factor.

Just checked the temps, the warm end was in the mid 90's cool end was low to mid 80's with a 60 watt bulb. just replaced it with a 40 watt and going to see if that helps.

I've raised geckos for 4 years now and never had an UTH and they've all been fine. I've been told by several people and read in books that UTH's are generally not worth the trouble due to hot spots and the chance they can burn the geckos.

I'll see if i can find my hydrometer and get a humidity reading, but he's got moist moss in his cave at all times, so i would guess the humidity is around the 60% range. I'll see about getting a more accurate reading on that today.
