Everyone here's going to give you grief about the sand.

And for good reason. It's far too risky! Don't take offense, we're just trying to help you.

Chain pet stores just wanted to sell you that bag of sand. Trust everyone here, paper towel or newspaper is best.
Actually I think a Repti Carpet would be best. The same pet store should have the 10 gal. size in stock. Paper towel is okay, but I prefer Repti Carpet by far. Sand is okay for adults, but for babies there is definitely too much risk of the sand being ingested and impacting the gecko's digestive system. This leads to death, so you want to get that Repti Carpet asap.

One more thing. I just saw that someone is telling you to sell the 10 gal. tank. That is not necessary. Even a 5 gal. tank is fine for a small leopard gecko. A 15 gal. is nice for adults, but for a baby a 10 gal. is plenty big.

You should put a humid hide in then it will really help the gecko!

Just make sure that big hide on top of the humid hide can't fall off and smash little Martin. It looks a little precarious. I like to put damp sphagnum moss in the moist hide. It gives them something to dig in, simulating the underground conditions they would find in nature.

nice! i use a gatoraide cap for my calcium...some reason the geckos like to play with the clacium dish avoid calcium with D3 some people use it to dust once a week but i dont really use it. also a moist hide is really important maybe where that big rock thing on the left is get a little rubbermaid and cut a hole in the side or top then go to home depot buy some sphagnum moss and keep it damp not wet this will help with shed and my geckos stay in there most of the day anyway

martin is adorable! your set up looks great.
dont worry about getting a larger terrarium. i have a 10 month old female in a 10 gal and shes perfectly fine. im not allowed any larger than a 10 gal in my apartment.
but my roomies love her and we all take her out at least once a day for love and closely supervised exercise.

as for the calcium, a small Gatorade cap with some calci powder is sufficient. make sure to get just regular calcium without d3 or vitamins for him to lick and use the other with the vitamins to dust his food.
the cap doesnt take up much room and if its in his way, he'll probably just walk right over it. my gecko does. there are always little calcium footprints on the rocks and hides. :)
