Well it's been quite the week! Here he is born July 27th @1:44 pm weighing in at 7 lbs. 10 ounces. His name is Seth Ian Schindler.

And here is the half that makes me whole! My beautiful wife Tanya. I love you more than words can describe. Strongest woman I've ever known she's given me the greatest gifts one could ever ask for,two beautiful children.

This is my pride and joy!! Big sister Layla doing what she has been dying to do ever since we told her there was a baby in mama's belly.

Ohhhhhhhh! Congrats Ian and Tanya! That is so awesome! You've got 1.1!!!! And, I love his name.

P.S. Tanya looks WAY too good for just giving birth! She's just lying there with a smile, like she didn't just push a baby out of her. She must be a strong woman!

Thank you all for the kind words and well wishes! Were not quite out of woods yet so to speek. The baby has jaundice. A condition where there is a yellow coloring of the skin and eyes that is caused by too much bilirubin in the blood. It's extremely common in infants and not of a major concern under a watchful eye and daily bloodtests. However, Tanya and I can't help but to be basketcases in the ol' parental anxiety department, so I'll do my best to keep my awesome geckoforum family up to date as much as possible.
Again thank you all so much!!

I don't blame you, I would be a basket case as well. I hope for the best for your little one!

Congratulations Ian, Tanya, and Layla! He's a beautiful little munchkin (just like the rest of his family!), you all must be so proud. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed and saying a little prayer that all health concerns are cleared up quickly. Take care!

Well, seeing that most of us are basketcases when we have a gecko with a small problem, I can see how you would be a Total basketcase when it comes to your son. Hope it clears up with no problems!

Thanks again guys & gals!! Well day two and the bilirubin levels have risen yet again quite significantly so it will be another worry some night for mom and I. It will be back to the doctors again tomorrow for yet another blood test which will probably determine if they keep him at the hospital or not.
