My new ones I have been waiting for...

I have posted a couple threads about the new leos i was getting today..needless to say one is not good at all. She is so thin I am not sure she will make it but certainly will do all I can. I think I need to get some Slurry goin pretty quick. SHe had shed stuck all over her head and toes as u can see from pics tho i got most off her head with qtip and damp paper towels..They had no moist hide in their viv and it was filthy. I believe the male was eating everything and she got nothing for a very long time considering her condition. I wanted to cry so bad when i saw her. My first thought was to get her out of there as soon as possible. The only good thing is i saw she had them on paper towels but I don't think it was for long. (they were housed on sand otherwise) she isn't impacted that i can tell but her emaciation is so bad idk if her organs are gonna work like they should. I am going to keep trying to get the shed off and try to get her to eat something. I seperated her from the male indefinately...the male is another story. His eyes are bright and gorgeous and he is huge as far as the difference in them goes..he weighs 60 grams and is wonderful. posting pics so you all can gaga over him and feel bad for her I had a lot of people asking to see pics so here they are and if you have any advice for her please let me know omg i want her to make it but not optomistic at this point

thank you I am going to try..only had her an hour but the previous owner said she was a little skinny not totally emaciated so I was not expecting that..thanks I will keep you posted

They're both gorgeous. I'm glad your male is healthy and I feel so bad for the girl. I hope everything goes okay with her.

I don't have any advice you probably haven't heard before: keep her warm, keep her stress-free, feed her some slurry and try and get her on solid food as quickly as you can. A vet visit might be in order if you can't get her to eat at all.

I wish you the best, but I agree that she really doesnt look like she will make it much longer.. I hope that I'm wrong. That's just so very sad for the poor girl The male does look good though. Where did you get them from?

local person selling thru craigs list..said they were a breeding pair ..wanted 200 dollars for them..I was so excited when she showed me some pics that one was a blizzard as i had wanted one..well their house was a mess and the viv was even worse then the house.. at least she had a uth and red light for heat ..i talked her down to 150 dollars but she wouldn't go less ..I was desperate to get her out of there so I paid it..I guess the next few days will tell..right now she is in her moist hide still..very much needed as they didn't have one in there and everything is all clean now so no filth..thanks for the wishes of luck but I might cry if she doesn't make it cause she didn't deserve this..

oh and the pictures she showed me were apparently from a couple years ago ...idk how old he is but she will be 3 in June.

Definitely make some slurry asap, keep her hide moist, and just let her be in peace at all times besides when you go to feed her.. poor little girl it's very heartbreaking, I know, I really hope she pulls through for you.

Wow. She wanted to charge you for taking them? She should have paid YOU with them in such poor shape! Hope that poor girl pulls through for you- I love her paradox spot! Looks like a beauty mark like on Marylin Monroe.

Would anyone who knows better than me advise her to make the slurry with a little extra pedialyte than usual? I think she's dehydrated on top of starving, and it might help flush toxins sooner...

She does have a pallor to her, besides being a blizzard. I wish her fervently well.
As others have already said, with you in her life, it's sure to be happier.

thanks a bunch..yes she is terribly dehydrated and have been giving her as much fluids as she will take..she does lick water off my fingers seeming to enjoy it so i continue until she doesn't want anymore..she isn't real interested in the slurry but i ty to be patient adn get a little in her each day..i did force feed her 2 mealies but decided that i wouldn't do t hat again until i saw that she was deficating properly. The previos owner had apparently let the male mate with her in this condition so I guess I am more concerned she would have bad eggs and trying to pass them would kill her. She is extremely fragile bu t I soak her a few minutes a day trying to get the shed off her feet, i give her a lil olive oil to help her pass what looks to be urate (i hope) and eye dropper feeding her slurry. Thanks for the wishes of luck and Yes Alusdra I agree with you. But i saw and could not leave without. I had the money I just wish the woman had been honest and up front with me from the beginning..she told me she was eating and pooing normal..that is a downright lie, she cannot poo normal at all and has no energy to eat. It amazes me that some people are even aloud to house animals. I think sometimes would be a good idea to go thru test runs for each pet and owner to see if they can care for them properly cause it's so sad to see animals go thru things like this..they don't deserve it..Will keep you posted with more news as I have it
