No way. I love the leos way too much. I just want them to have the BEST environment possible so they can thrive. I feel like they're my kids. I took on the responsibility of caring for them when I bought them, so I might as well do it right.
On another note, I had to take out the waterfall because the tubing in the back sprang a leak. Might be just as well, it was starting to get tarnished. I'll bleach the crap out of it, rinse it, re-tube it, and stick it in the hex tank with the 3 cresties down stairs. These guys all go to the water bowl as well anyway, and with the lack of screen venting on this thing like a usual tank, I was worried about humidity anyway.
I'll grab some more detailed pics on Friday, I'm working 12 hours tomorrow and relaxing with the g/f tonight. Thanks a million for the support guys!
I'm happy to report that all my geckos are eating and getting fatter in there. I think it's the fact that I'm able to keep the temps higher. I live in an old farmhouse in MA, so it's cool and drafty at times and the old tank was screen-topped and often got cool, the geckos would all hang out on the warm hide. Now they're all over the place, and I'm noticing tails starting to get thicker
Oh, there would be. Her color gets better by the day, and she's found her favorite little hot spot on the 3rd level. She's been a wonderful addition since I brought her home.
I actually got my first pair of eggs out of the humid hide the other day. I have no clue who they're from, as none of my girls looked particularly gravid, and since I don't have any matching hets in there right now other than SHTCT, odds are it'll be a normal mystery baby het for either nothing or Blizzard. It's so nice watching them thrive in there, I've never seen geckos so active all the time, laying out, exploring, eating, etc... I had to put a mealie bowl in each level now because they were overcrowding the main one at the bottom when they came for dinner. I still have to take better pics of the setup for detail.
