I agree about the vet visit... This thread was basically for my own sanity until the start of the week. I may try a new feeder tomorrow anyways...

I also gave her a cpl days mid week to chill... Hoping it was stress. Nothing changed with her.

After looking at the picture her tummy looks a bit bloated. It could be related to the temps not being warm enough.

If she wasn't lethargic I would tell you to soak her to remove that shed, but I fear the stress of a bath can make things worst. Try dabbing her nose softly and carefully with a wet rag to help remove the shed of her nose.

I may not try this... she gets very stressed easily. She's has always been the hissing kind. My other leo would allow me.

Are carrots and a basic worm food mix not enough for gut loading?

Calcium with D3... yes. What's the difference between D and D3?

Calcium with VitD promotes calcium absorption in the gut but should be used less often because it is fat soluble. Every other day should be enough.

Yes. Raising the heat seemed to help. I also picked the largest portion of her shed out of the tank before she could get to it. Im still calling a vet this evening, but I observe a slight improvement.

Good, I have had bad experiences with superworms. Not everyone does but maybe as precaution you can try feeding easier to digest items instead.

I'm glad your baby is improving. I quit serving superworms as well - I noticed decent sized "armor" or "casings" in my baby's poops, and decided I didn't want to risk actual impaction. I just feed mealworms and crickets to everybody now, including adult bearded dragons. I get those nice Vita-Mealies now though, so no one appears to be complaining.

Arte,

Here is another thought when it comes to superworms. First of all have you ever squeezed the head of a superworm? Even with a crushed head they continue to move around for a long time. Second, they are capable of chewing through thin plastic. No, I am not assuming they will eat thru your gecko's gut:) but if the gecko does not chew enough quickly it can take a nice nip inside of your gecko's mouth. That's why when I read some threads about "my gecko stop eating superworms", I write, "There must be a reason. Offer other food items."

Ugh. I would not approve of a mouth nipping from a superworm. Those things freak me out - every time I touch one I get mildly convinced its going to chew my finger off. I'm really happy to stick to the mealworms and crickets. I much prefer the mealworms over crickets though, since I get worried a cricket will bite one of my babies and hurt it. But I'm a worrywort.

Lmao! One of my cats just found an escaped superworm from my leftover worm bin and is now "playing" with it. Show it who's boss Goosie!

My little one seems more active today and climbed on top of her hide. She's also had a couple baby crickets...

Unless she does a complete 180 by Thursday... she's still gonna see a vet.

I wanted to post an update on Vector...

She's doing great. I had scheduled a vet visit on Friday, but she improved so much during the week that I decided to skip it. I hope I made the correct decision... which I based on the fact that her health had done a 180. She's eating crickets (4-5 per feeding) and her movements are regular. She's slowing getting back to her feisty self.

Thanks for all your help.
