Hey guys. As many of you know, I sold my gecko collection when I left for college. Well, I still have some tortoise. Luckily my family is kind enough to take care of these guys while I am gone. I simply LOVE spending time with them when I am home.

Here is their outdoor cage:

Here are some plants I recently put around the cage, all are edible:

Here is the male, he is the smallest:

Here is the female I originally got with him, We'll call her 'F1':

Here is the second female I got. She came with a bit of pyramiding:

And here is the biggest female:

Here are some random pictures of them:

Anyone have experience with these guys? I am thinking I need a bigger male to have successful breeding.

Thanks!

(I fixed your title ;))

They're awesome! I wish it wasn't so hot here, I'd love to have some torts in the yard. I could just sit and watch them for hours. Good luck with the breeding!

Well Mel you could always go for the heat tolerant species. Ones that really need the heat to thrive like golden greeks, or pancakes.

Nice group of red foots good luck with them.

Beautiful torts, dewbert! I'd love to chat about care some time.

I've run the sprinkler on them the last two days when it's been hot, they really enjoy it!

oooh, I want a tortoise SO BADLY.
But I CANNOT keep it outside.
I have a dog that will attempt to DESTROY all non-human creatures, so keeping it outside is NOT an option.

You CAN successfully keep them indoors, right?

oooh, I am in so much trouble when I go to the Tinley Park show.
I have about 839384 things I'll be buying there.
