I posted pics of these guys in perhaps the wrong place, so here they are in the RIGHT place...here are my two Rottweilers: Kaos (M) and Deztruktion (F) they are not litter mates, but they are the same age, 15 months. Dezi is a Serbian Rottweiler, and Kaos is a Yugoslavian Rottweiler. They both still have their tails as we do not believe in docking (it's illegal everywhere BUT here in the US). Kaos weighs about 120, and Dezi weighs about 100. They are my kids, that's for sure!

This one cracks me up with his legs crossed and the look on his face...

Dezi thinking she sees something outside...

And Kaos with a goofy look on his face...

I think they are the first ones I have seen with tails. Beautiful dogs by the way!!

Thank you. They are a first for a lot of people. Most ask if they are purebred lol. I think the tails just add to the beauty of the dog...it's amazing how much emotion you can get from it. I guess I just like them as natural as they can be...tails, dewclaws, and all :) All of their parents are from champion lines, the males sire being the most titled Rottweiler in the US at one point, and the female's sire was the top Schutzhund (protection training) competitor.

Beautiful babies. Always nice to meet another rottweiler lover. I have 2 females, 1 1/2 and 5 1/2 years old. Mine never sit still to take a picture. :(

Oh definitely! This is the breed we will never be without. Once you own a rottie, you'll always have one in your life :) We've gone through a lot of training with ours...worked with them on a daily basis to get them to calm down enough for pictures and company for that matter! They are a spirited breed, that's for sure.

I think that Rotties look a little goofy with their tails, but that's only because it's rare in the U.S. At the same time though, I think natural is always better. You have gorgeous dogs. How did you manage to keep their tails. Most U.S. breeders dock them; unless I misunderstood and they are imported and don't just have imported blood... If that makes sense.

Breeders that are interested in having their dogs shown overseas will not dock simply for the reason that you can have a dog that is top in the US, none can compete, but if he doesn't have his tail, he's not setting foot in a show ring outside this country. There are what are called seiger shows, and that is the German style showing that takes place here in the US. Our breeder is one of the smart ones. Most of his dogs are titled here, and some hold world titles as well. We lucked out and found the dogs we wanted (blood lines we wanted) in Virginia, our breeder had already imported their parents, so we flew them from Virginia to Oregon at 8 weeks old. Sooner or later US breeders will realize that even though it's been the breed standard to dock for so long, it's really limiting the dog on where he can compete and therefore the amount of titles it can hold as it should be every breeder's hopes and dreams to have a dog good enough to compete for the world titles. I was partial to the docked tail myself, until we got these guys and I saw it in action :)

beautiful dogs i much rather have a rotty with a tail then with out

Thank you, and definitely agreed! I feel...if it's not necessary, don't do it! It's how the dog is born, and as long as they are ours, it's how they will stay :)
