And heres where the beetles are gonna go View attachment 34779 and it has mesh as you can see that the small super worms well crawl threw down into my worm drawer (its empty my super worms come in tomarrow or the next day)

Also is the mesh too big? I'm afraid it might end up being to big :(

umm the breeding of mealies and superworms are much different. superworms will no pupate unless they are secluded.

I used little portion cups to segregate my supers when I had a colony of them. I prefer mealies...they are much easier to do since they dont require anything special. Either way, nice setup. The only problem i potentially see is that the mesh may be to big for substrate to stay on top of it.

so what happens when you pull that top drawer out while it's full of bran and beetles?

You can put another piece of screen right over that one, use 1/4" to keep oats from going thru- old fashioned rolled oats as I mentioned in your other thread. Not something you have to rush out and do today, it takes a while to get to beetle stage :)

the mesh is WAY too big!!!

Beetles will fall through that and so will the substrate. In order to do the "superwom filter drawer," you need to use Aluminum Window Screening.

If you have bred Super Worms before then you should know that the metal mesh is too big. And did you have any success when you bred them? If you did, you should go with that method.

I had success but honstly it wasn't very good and its because i didn't like the old method this way i don't have to sit down for a long time and separate and do stuff like that.

What is the solution for this? I just got a four level sterilite tower which I'm thinking of using for silkworms and superworms.

Even if you got the aluminum window mesh, which I know is really tiny and wouldn't allow bran or gutload out, I'd be really afraid that I was dropping invisible superworm eggs all over my floor. Is that even possible? If so maybe the solution is to jostle the drawer around for a few seconds before you open it, to hopefully sift them out?
