My three new leos! (albino mack snows???)

So i was at Petco and of course had to swing by and look at the leos. they were on sale, and they had a bunch mixed in together. there were some normals, some peppered looking, one patty, and then four of these little ones. i would have bought all four, but the last one was pretty skinny and didnt want to take a chance. Hopefully they will grow up to look as good as they do now. The second one is my favorite due to the pattern on his head.

by the way, im assuming they are just plain albino's, but correct me if im wrong.

Hmmmmmm. The first 2 look different, almost like Mack Snow Albinos. Very interesting.

i was almost thinking that, but didnt want to get my hopes up (keeping my fingers crossed though). when do you think i will be able to tell for sure?

Probably the only way to know for sure would be to breed them to a Mack Snow or Mack SS and see if you get Supers from them

i was afraid of that. i do have a pair of macks right now, but that means a full year of waiting to find out!

would i be able to just breed them together (assuming they are male and female), to produce an albino SS? (assuming they are indeed albino snows).

either way, i think i got a good deal on them!

Yes, you can breed them together, and if you get a SS or SS Albino then they are Macks :main_thumbsup:

Do you think the Albino macks could be in pet stores already??? If that is the case, it would be pretty crazy...

Awesome finds by the way even if they do not turn out to be macks...

Hey Justin, what location did you get them from? The geckos from Petco are supposed to be from Gourmet Rodent but I've noticed several stores around town that have completely different looking geckos. I wonder where they're coming from.

i asked the girl and she said "i think we get them from fire sands or something like that?", so im not really sure. i got them from the location on 249 near spring cypress. i have also bought a few nice ones in college station.

I'd imagine the coloration isn't due to genetics, such as mack, but rather poor care. I would anticipate seeing a rapid color change once they're in a proper environment and feeding well. They're adorable though!
