Finally picked up one viper gecko, still pretty young. I'll wait a few more months before I sex it.

Size comparison, viper gecko and my pointer finger tip...

The comparison quickly changed to exploring time!

This little one loooves climbing up my hand and arm. I gave it some cool tank decorations to play on for now. Anyways, I'll update as it gets older!

Thanks, everyone!

Sure, I'll post a picture of the cage as soon as I can find my camera. I have a three gallon for the "baby" setup, and then a 5 gallon for when it gets older.

Sorry about the wait! Here's the baby setup:

This is a three gallon critter keeper. The log structure is the moist hide (wet paper towel inside), the cut little paper cup is the dry hide. There is a calcium dish in there, and then a water dish behind the log.

Sorry for the crappy picture. Anyways, I still can't tell the sex on this little one, for now I'm calling it Bowser.

;) It's the "baby" setup until Bowser reaches maturity. He/she still has a little bit of growing to do (vipers max out at 3.5 inches for a norm, Bowser is only an inch and a half or so). Then Bowser will be placed in the five gallon, with another viper, to make a pair.

Females are pretty rare. I think Bowser really might be female though, still no bumps or bulges. I can only cross my fingers and hope so.

That's cool! I'm thinking mine must be a female then. :)

Hmm, JMG has really nice Viper geckos. You should definitely do it if they have some available.
