Okay so I paid a pretty penny and finally got them. I use the bean farm 6x23 ultratherm heating pads on a rheostat to heat them. I love them and my geckos do too! :) I call them the gecko condos!

I still need a background for the top one.

Here they are after I put them together...They are stacked. But then I found this amazing bookshelf to put them in.

Looks like a nice set-up, but I hope you like your Visionarium more then I
do.
I ordered one, and I just do not like it. It is now used as a storage box.

I do not like the design at all.
The top is a problem for me. I removed it w/ a Dremel saw, and I hate
the plastic floor with the curved corners and edges, and the bracing they
put under it (the ridges that prevent installing a UTH wider than 6'').

Also, it saggs in the middle after a few months of 92F going 24/7.
I had to add a support under it. And the front door goes all the way to the
floor, so when you open it, stuff falls out, crickets escape, and your animal
can make a dash for it.

I do love the front opening design, but this one just does not work for me.

To replace it, I ordered a 20g long Protean Terrarium (havent received it yet).
They are "made to order" and costs less then the Visionarium (except when you add the shipping, because it is shipped "fully assembled")

Of course, I did not stack, so since you are stacking them, you may not run
into the same issues I did.

Wow, your cages look great! I have had my Visionarium for a few years now and love it. I haven't had a problem with bowing from my heat pad, but I have always used Cobra Heat mats because they heat my tank up nicely and don't get too hot like the Zoo Meds. The design definitely does not bode well if you feed crickets, so if you do feed crix, do it in a separate container. This is a non-issue for me because I hate crickets and my leos have not seen a cricket in almost ten years. :)
I love how they look on the stand...it really makes a great display piece...nice job!

I am considering this cage design. Are they as sturdy as a 20L glass aquarium, which are designed to hold water? How is the 6"x23" UTH oriented? I'm thinking you must have it the long way, such that the tank is hot in the rear and cold in the front. I suppose it doesn't have to be a left to right temperature gradient.

It looks very nice on the stand, by the way.

Got mine a few days ago and look great.

Well the 6x23 ultraherm heat pads are placed in the middle. Thats the only dislike I had for the visionariums. You can only heat it in the middle.

I have one visionarium and while there are things about it I like, I'm not a big fan. A few other things to note that haven't been mentioned yet: they are not as tall as a 20 gallon long because of the top, which isn't a problem for leos unless you want to build a second floor. I got 2 of the partitions that come with it and found them difficult to install and a bit too tight. The corners are rounded and since I place a bathroom tile in the corner where they're going to poop, it doesn't work in this cage. They do seem good as stacking cages since they have the side ventilation. I stacked 2 cages from glasscages.com and velcroed them together as recommended. Since there was no side ventilation, the lower cage became like a sauna.

I noticed something looked different about them. I do have those floating rock ledges that are magnetically attached. My leos really enjoy them. I think the shorter height may be an issue.

What other stackable front-opening reptile cage manufacturers are out there? I've heard about Vision Cages, they're expensive and you can only see through the front.

The cages I referred to in my previous post are from www.glasscages.com and the price is phenomenal. These are front opening (hinged, not sliding) tanks which are the same dimensions as standard tanks, but only half as tall. So, for example, a "half 29" (which isn't on their website, but I order it all the time for $35) is 12 1/2" x 30" x about 8" high. I generally don't stack them, but put them on shelves. I recently bought 2 to stack and they told me to use velcro to attach them to each other. I did, but the problem is that the lower tank then has no ventilation. It gets heat from its own UTH and also from the UTH of the tank above it and the humid hide made the whole enclosure so humid there was actually water condensing on the front. Eventually I got a screen top for the bottom cage and stacked them with little pieces of wood (dominoes actually) to give about a 1/2" space. It's fine this way.

They have a website (www.glasscages.com) and are located in Ohio, but they go all over the country (US) making deliveries and if you do it that way there's no shipping.
