2, she's my first bell hatchling...
3, no known eclipse in the male...
4, no known eclipse in the female either...

so if she (or he... inc fem) IS, then SWEEEET!

But yes... Mack Snow Bell.

Nice looking Bell! More than likely it is probably just the mack snow genetics causing a bit more black pigment. I have also seen Kelli post about having some non eclipse bells hatch with different pigment than normal.

Huh?

I know it's a bell mack snow, however she's still small, and I can't figure out if that's eclipse showing up in the eyes, or if she's just got a cool eye pattern.. My camerea's kinda poo, so taking clear "macro" shots is about 1 in 700... ;) Regardless though if she ends up being a Bell mack eclipse, it'd be quite the unexpected suprise...

Cheers.

I don't think the white on the nose is enough to be an eclipse, but that's jmo. It's a really pretty baby with very cool eyes!

ETA: I believe all the eclipse I've hatched have the white nose go past the nostrils. I could be wrong, but I know that at least most of them do.

Wait and see how it develops. Test breed next season with an eclipse to see if eclipses hatch. Or better yet send him/her my way and I will test breed for you ;)

Nice baby either way! :)

I have 2 Mack Snow Trempers that don't have eclipse genetics present but have extra black pigment. One has a half black eye. Test breeding together and to a Raptor produced geckos with normal albino eyes and no sign of being an eclipse. This works the same way as Blizzards who have snake eyes but don't contain any eclipse genetics. Geckos can have abnormal looking eyes that are completely unreproducible. I'd say that this is what is more than likely happening with this gecko. The chances of it being a stealth is less likely compared to being just a different looking eye. Either way it is a great looking mack bell.

Where I was thrown off before was the comment about black pigment. there is NO black on this gecko.... I have heard of random "eclipsing" in blizzards, but did not know it could happen in Macks or albinos as well.. Hmm...

Also... there is NO chance that it's a "stealth" , as there is NO enigma genes in here.

cheers.

I guess black pigment is the wrong word to use in this instance. I should of said extra pigment/coloration. I am just trying to state that abnormal coloration/pigment in the eye doesn't mean the said animal is in fact eclipse.

Also... I was wrong about saying stealth. My bad!
