It looks like a Leo to me. I have seen pics of wild Leos and they look alot more like that then the captive breed ones we are used to seeing.

It would be awfully hard to smuggle a live gecko into the US with as tight as airport security is. It's been illegal to import wild caught Leos for years. So I'd offer him $15 for his Normal.

its actualy easier then you think to smuggle something over from another country. lol Even after 911 I once brought back a case of Cubans and when I hit customs at Logan there wasnt a single person to check my carry on.
But yeah I wouldnt pay to much. How long has your friend had it and where did his dad get it from?

Let's just say I accidently took a full clip for a glock 23c on a plane in my camera bag..... found it there after my vacation...... security, yeah right.

That is indeed a normal and worth very little.

I had a friend who was a smuggler back in high school, but he'd only smuggle a pair at a time and never before waiting thirty minutes after eating...

Fifteen clams sounds appropriate, but if homeslice went to a lot of trouble to manufacture such a claim he's probably expecting at least fifty smackeroos...

If the gecko was found "in the wild" here in the USA, it is someone's escaped leopard gecko. I would not pay more than $25 for the gecko, and make sure it went to the vet for a fecal exam... it's quite thin.

I would say if it is wild caught, it was somebody’s pet, like Marica said, and it is worth $25. And what is that substance, it looks like bird millet, not the best for leopard geckos. If he wants $50 for it, don’t mess with him, that is a rip off.
