Sometimes they won't eat during a shed. Sometimes they are picky with food items. At the pet store I work at, some will only eat mealworms, some only crickets, and some eat anything that twitches.

They are as bad as my kids were when they were young. I do find that, while I raise my hatchlings on mealworms, the ones that I keep into adulthood get pretty bored with the mealworms after awhile. My adults eat crickets and super worms alternating weeks. Another thing to keep in mind is that some leopard geckos eat hardly at all for a variety of reasons including ovulation and winter. Mine are all very hungry at the moment because they've just stopped breeding and, I suspect, are "gearing up for winter". Nearly every year, some time in mid-September, they go way down on their consumption.
The most you can do is keep offering and take fecal samples to the vet if you see dramatic reduction in tail size.

I moved this to the feeding and feeders section. Please make sure you're not posting gecko questions under general site issues/questions. Thank you.
