I bought a leopard gecko about 3 days ago and at first everything was fine and i was holding him, and the second day i went to hold him and he started hissing at me and has been for about 2 days now. i would love to hold him and interact with him but i dont know how to stop him from hissing, does anyone have any help?

Stop holding him! You leo needs time to get use to his tank and surroundings...sometimes this can take a week or more. All you are doing is stressing the little guy out. Let him settle in for a few weeks prior to handling.

Yes; even a leo that has "settled in" doesn't necessarily start out tame, and (like cats) some simply do not enjoy/tolerate being held unless it's on their terms. He let you hold him a little, which is good, but now he deserves some time to deal with all the changes in his little leo universe. :)

Give him a week or 2 to settle in and then start out slow with holding him like try for a few minutes and once it starts looking like it wants to bolt put it back in and try again another day. I have had geckos that were tame right off the bat and others that took a while. I still have 2 that I have had for a month and they are not really into being held. It just takes time :) Congrats on the new gecko!

Hissing is it's way of say "Put me BACK!"

They need time to adjust. Some don't mind handeling, some do. Just give the little one time to get use to it's new home.
