Do you have a male and a female together?
Was the egg laid in any substrate?
Are you set up to house another leopard gecko, that would need its own seperate tank?
If I were you, and not ready to breed yet, I would put it in the freezer, and then throw it out until youre ready.
i have plenty of empty 10gal and 20 gal tanks. i have a male and a female. i got them 2 weeks ago and the person i got them from said they kept them together but sense i got them i have them both in there own 20gal long tanks and they both have paper towls on for substrate and the egg was on the substrate. it looks really healthy ill try to get a picture up. when i got home i put together a homemade incubator that i read how to make from online.
what can i use for substrate if i dont have vermiculite? can i use some cooked rice for substrate for the egg until tomorrow thats when i will get the right substrate
If you don't have the vermiculite yet, just put paper towels under the egg, then put some over it, then on a heat mat. Moist rice might work, but I don't think it would if you cooked it.
