Need Help with Hatchling

I was feeding everyone today and seen that my hatchling gecko had her leg twisted backwards. I don't know how this could happen. I keep her on paper towels and i handle her very carefully. As for a health problem, I don't see how. I feed all my geckos babies daily. They are offered mealworms everyday expect on sunday I offer them phoenix worms. The meal worms are kept on a high blend diet with potatoes and carrots for moister. And I dust all meal worms with 50% x 50% rept-cal calcium and multi vits. None of my other geckos are have any trouble. What could be wrong with this one. And what needs to be done to correct the problem. She will pull her leg in front of her when walking and when she stops she will leave it behind her like the photo below shows. I have done tons of research to prevent things like this from happening, I thought. Maybe I missed something. Oh, her temps are 80 on the cool and 89 to 90 on the hot. If that helps any. Thanks,

Looks like she might have the start of MBD. I am noticing some stuck shed on her left hind toes, which can be another indication of MBD. I would get her to the vet and get her on liquid calcium.

Sometimes geckos (I think) have a problem absorbing calcium correctly. Sounds like their supplementation schedule is adequate.

Just a thought. ;)

Ok, I don't see how that could happen, but I will go to the vet tomorrow. Is there something more I should do to prevent this from happening again. I have seen threads on liquid calcium. Is that a good daily, weekly treatment I should start doing to all my geckos. I also seen that there is a debate on weather D3 is good for geckos. I was always told it was bad so I haven't been using it. I plan to stop by petsmart and pick up the complete leopard gecko powder after I leave the vet. I can't remember If I read the thread here or somewhere else that this is the best powder for leos. I am just getting into leos and I don't want to start having troubles. If anyone have any comments or other suggestions please let me know. Thanks,

I think leopard geckos need some D3 to help them utilize the calcium, just not too much. In general a weekly dusting of feeders should do the trick.

David, I'd try to get her on liquid calcium ASAP. Assuming all her enviromnmental needs are adequate (warm side surface temps at around 90 degrees) and a dish of calcium powder available, moist hide, etc...), I would guess that she somehow twisted her leg trying to get the shed off ???

Be careful administering liquid calcium, as geckos can asparate on it. Just a few drops on the end of her nose so she'll lick it a couple of times a day will suffice.
