So Luna laid eggs 4 days ago and has not eaten anything since. She went off eating for 2 days prior to her lay, and now has gone 4 days post lay without eating.

Any idea what could possibly be wrong? She ate like wildflower before the fast began......and I even tried taking her out of her tank away from her mating partner and still no luck. She looks like she is scared of the food.

She is housed on repti carpet, she has a moist hide/warm hide, a cool hide, fresh water every two days, and a UTH that keeps the warm side between 85-90F

leave her alone in a couple of days - don't offer any food (2-3 days) and yes - it is preferable to her to be all alone in her tank, I'm sure she'll be ok:)

I agree with leaving her alone for awhile to let her recover. If that doesn't help, here's what I did with my AFT female:

she laid her first clutch and then stopped eating. She was losing weight (down to 41 grams), her tail was getting noticeably skinnier and she was gravid again. The people I got her from said she has occasional feeding problems. Each night I would hold her gently and tap 3 calcium dusted crickets on her lips. She got annoyed enough to bite them and would then eat them. Some of my geckos that I do this kind of assisted feeding wth will just grab the feeder and flick it away, in which case it doesn't work but she was actually eating them. Finally after a week I fed the AFT's last night and she was scarfing them down on her own

Luna was diagnosed today with pinworms.......and prescribed some medicine.......she is now on the road to recovery.....she has lots of weight to catch up on. She is 44g....her cage mate is 60g and my other two are 51g and 60g......and up untill Luna's hunger strike.....they have all been eating the same things (or at least fed)

So it has been 5 days since I gave Luna her first dose of medication to help rid her of pin worms.........and she is still losing weight....she is now at 42 grams, and I am worried because she is very very thin and I don't know how light an adult gecko can get before it is fatal. I have been syringe feeding her daily using the Slurry recipe and she licks it off the syringe....but she is still losing weight.

it would appear that Luna's hunger strike is finally over.
I tried feeding her a pinky mouse this evening and she charged across the tank and attacked the mouse with more vigor than I have ever seen her go at anything before. I have never been so happy.
