Hey,

Well yesterday it was the leos calcium d3 day (when they get d3 calcium). Well they are hooked on meal worms, I made a mistake... They wount even eat the crickets, which have the d3 on them.. what can I do? Should I drench their meal worms with d3?

Thanks... :)

Hmmm, that is odd that they won't chase the crickets? Usually even if leos are used to mealies, they continue to have interest in cricks, but I don't know. I would definitely put some of the D3 Calcium on the mealworms for today :) It won't stay on the mealworms, but it will stay on for a small amount of time, and sometimes they eat them quick enough. Also, they can lick from the dish too. Just be sure not to keep the Calcium with D3 in there for multiple days to be safe.

Yeah, I don't know...

I will put some d3 on the mealies. How many pinches of d3 should I put of the mealies? The d3 always slides off the meal worms.. :(

I just sprinkle it on top of the mealies, and sometimes they eat quick enough to get the dust, too, sometimes they don't. They should lick from the dish, though, if they really want some anyway :)

you're very welcome :)

Okay, thanks!

I though that they should only lick calcium from a bowel if it is non d3 calcium? I just don't want them to over dose on d3, leos all jaked up on calcium. Lol. Now that would be funny, like a drug! LOL!
But ya I know, to much D3 is really bad for them...

Here is a cool little trick I do: In a seperate container I put my d3/vitiams in. I count out my mealworms I will be using and put them in a bowl. I then get my water sprayer and spray the mealworms and pour them into the container with the D3 and vitiams. I then shake them a little and dish the mealworms out to the leopard geckos. The D3 and Vitiams stick really good to the mealworms that way.

We basically do the same thing as John, stir the mealies in a dish of D3 Calcium or Vitamins depending on the day and just cover them in it and spoon the mealworms into the dish with a little extra dust. If you can't get it to work just put a little D3 or Vitamins in a dish, leave it for the day and then dump it out.
