Howdy!

I'm Miki, and I just joined recently, as I have now become a Crested Gecko parent - sort of by happenstance! The general summary is my partner - who has had leopard geckos in the past - and I were thinking of getting some kind of gecko, then were informed a friend of a family member needed to rehome a singular youngling Crested ASAP with all of its basic necessities included so my partner and I said 'sure we'll scoop em'.

Since I am a new gecko owner and am researching as much as I can, and as much as my partner has knowledge, Cresteds specifically are pretty unknown to us (research has been teaching us a lot though!), so I figured I'd join in on some threads for the inevitability that I have questions that would be helpful to get opinions or recommendations on in all of this.

I will post pictures of my Crested once they've had a little more time to settle, they got moved in here literally a little over a day ago as of this post so I don't want to overwhelm them.

Welcome to you and your crested gecko. Looking forward to pictures. My two most common pieces of advice:
a 12"x12"x18" enclosure is too small for an adult (I have no idea what you're using, so this may be irrelevant)
just because you don't see your crestie eating it doesn't mean that it's not eating. I rarely see my oldest crested gecko eat and he's 19!
