Ya I have a UTH and the ground temps are 100 and basking is 104 and cool side is 76, from what I researched that is too hot. Am I correct?

O this is a 20L tank and do you think two 100 Watts are gonna heat it up right? Plus What are cool side temps supposed to be and what about night temps?

One 100 watt bulb should be sufficient, maybe even too much if you have a UTH coupled with that. Most people will tell you that 95-97F warm side on ground level is sufficient. If you live in a cold area, like we do, we live in a basement, in Canada, then the heat lights should be fine in conjunction with the UTH.

Cool side temps can be room temperature or 75-82F somewhere in there.

Night temps you can let cool down to room temperature if you want to do that. Personally, however, if your room temps are in the 50s or lower, then you might want to leave a heat source on for the little guys.

Just my .02. :>

Other than that you've got a nice setup going there.

Your cool temp is fine @ 76 (mid 70's are ideal)...as for the warm side im not sure wat u mean about the wattage but as long as you have the UTH meant for a 10-20gl tank you should be fine, u should invest in a rheostat or thermostat asap so you have a way of regulating the UTH. Heat lamps arent necessary.

u can get rheostat from pet$mart or petc0 for about $20...Thermostats can get pricey but a couple affordable brands are Johnson Controls and Ranco's ETC-111000 which im using now. I got it on ebay for $54 shipped

Yes u are correct...Those warm side temps are too high, try maintaining them at 88-92
Wrong!!! You should maintain basking temps no lower than 95 degrees... 97 degrees is my ideal basking temp...

Your cool temp is fine @ 76 (mid 70's are ideal)...
Wrong again!!! There is no need for cool side temps to be any lower than 82 degrees... Mid 70's is way too cool...

Regurgitated info from internet care sheets is not good info... It is way out dated, too broad, and way too general... On top of all that, it is incorrect...

The temps Murf mentioned are from general care sheets... Keep you leos like that and you will be dealing with animals that are not at their healthiest that will go off feed during the cooler months of the year...

Your ambient air temps are just as important as your basking or hot side temps...
