This boy is an eating machine. I swear he's always hungry and never turns down a meal. He's getting so big and I love him! He tolerates me holding him now, but he did try to eat my hand yesterday.:main_rolleyes:

feeding day for Gertrude (thats what russ named his hognose lol) is in a day or two. i hope i can get some awesome feeding photos!

does fido wrap his food up? Gerty doesn't wrap, roll, constrict, bite, nothing LOL just eats it heh

I thought these were illegal to have as pets in Georgia, so I've never looked at them. Seeing your pictures, I want one! ha. I'm thinking they may not be illegal. The law says no rear fanged, venomous colubrids. I read, where they're technically venomous and they do have rear fangs, but other states who have the same law, allow western hognose. I may be calling georgia wildlife foundation or someone to find out. These guys are super cute.

I showed my bf a picture of an albino western hognose, and he likes that one. Time to start research; we've got a whiles before we can get one.

No, they're not. From what I've read, only people who are allergic have a reaction and even then, it's like a bug bite. That's only what I've read online though. My husband got bit by Fido once, but he didn't even break the skin. I haven't been bit yet.
