I bought a new female today, I believe she is gravid about 1-2 weeks. I want to introduce her into a breeding colony but 3 seperate males all attacked her within minutes of being introduced. The females did nothing only the male, Could this be because she is already gravid by another male? Should i wait for her to lay her eggs before I introduce her? I never had this scenerio before.

Thanks.

Some geckos don't get along with others. Just like some dogs can be friendly with each other, but attack another when introduced to the pack.
I'd keep her seperated.
Especially since shes new, you need to quarantine her anyways.

If by "attacking", you mean rattling their tail and trying to bit her tail and neck, the males are trying to breed her or your "she" is actually a "he".

My she is a she 100% sure.

My question has yet to be answered.

Would makes try to attack her and try to push her away if she was gravid by another male?

No one knows for sure why theyre attacking her. Would be great if you could be a little gecko mind reader and ask them. I'm not sure if males can tell if a females gravid or not, its usually the females who tell the males to get lost when theyre not ovulating. Who knows? Its an impossible question to answer.

Hope you have more luck in the future with her.

Shes new, shew gravid and that means shes vulnerable, Of course, leos dont like being housed together, they are generally happier as individuals. So housing multiple females in a tank with a male(and hopefully ONE MALE AND ONE MALE ONLY) would make them antsy over time, shes new, shes gravid and shed be less able to fight off another leo, so yeah, pick on the weaker man.

this is speculation, not true fact. It could or could not be the cause.

Something similar, but i dare compare the situations, are the cows on the farm. We introduced a Preggers female last month, all the females and the Steer harassed her to no end, we separated them, she gave birth and now she pushes her own weight around.

Of course, QT procedures should be fallowed anyways.
