New guy.

Hi folks. New here, obviously. Used to frequent a few reptile forums back in the day and sort of lost touch with them for whatever reasons. I've been a snake guy all my life, dabbled a little in lizards as a kid. I was recently given a juvenile normal female leopard gecko by someone who was repulsed when they broke her tail off. I took her in with my pair of adult ball pythons and 4 dogs and named her Mia. Her tail has healed nicely and she's just been a joy so far. So fun to watch and really seems to enjoy an adventure out of her cage occasionally. Caring for her is a piece of cake, those of you who have had a ball python can agree.. they require very similar setups and care. IF ONLY my pythons would switch over to crickets or mealworms, I'd be set. ANYWAY, I loved little Mia so much that I went out and purchased another juvenile female. I didn't know much about morphs at the time, but I believe her to be a simple patternless leopard gecko. I will be sure to post a pic or two of each in the photo forums.

Thank you all for the incredibly informative website and forum bank here at geckoforums.net. Of course I lurked around for a couple of weeks, soaking up info about my new little pet before getting around to join. I didn't want to be one of those "do they need heat?" people. :main_laugh: Hope to learn as much as I can and perhaps make a few friends here. Name's Will, and I live in Crewe, VA. Feel free to contact me for whatever reason!

Thank you all for the welcome. I'm really finding myself reading old posts almost every time I turn on the laptop. Gonna' try to get some pics when I go to clean the cages tonight for you guys. I don't want to post the crappy ones I took the day I brought them home. Of course since I've only had Mia about a month, and the patternless (who needs a name!) for about a week, I still have them both in rubbermaid rack enclosures. Separated until I'm positive they are both happy and healthy, and then perhaps I will convert one of my old 20 gallon tanks into the perfect lil' gecko pad. I think that right now, since they are both eating like little monsters, that I'm going to stick to the enclosures that they are currently in. They must be pretty happy to have some decent care for a change! Thanks again! :)
