Do you know if this person had a temp gradient? She gave one temp at 83 (I think), but that's it, which wouldn't be warm enough for a hot side or cool enough for a cool side.

I didnt sell the tank so I was unaware of its odd square size.
Im not sure if there was a gradient, but my caresheets make that very clear for thermo-regulation. Im sure she had one.
Amy's main complaint was temps being too low. My only suggestion was she ditch both small mats and upgrade to a bigger size but I cant remember her reasons for not doing this. Its been several weeks, I dont remember everything.
Amy, did you watch her eat everyday? How many mealworms? How many were offered a day? They arent all hiding under the paper towel are they?
All my geckos are dewormed with panacure before I sell them, so I'm ruling out parasites, unless she has come into contact with other reptiles or there was a reptile in her tank previously.

Sorry to change subjects, but I have a quick question about this, as I'm getting a kingsnake and am looking around for a user larger tank (but will buy new if I have to). If I buy used, what's the best way to sanitize it without having to worry about future problems? I'm always so skeptical about a bleach solution.

I would use bleach. Rinse it very, very well. Then i'd fill it with water and add dechlorinator for aquariums (if you have one), and rinse it again.
I would also do another wipe down with ammonia cleaner, crypto can survive bleach, and rinse very very well. Do NOT mix ammonia with the bleach.

Alright, thanks. :)

EDIT: By "ammonia cleaner," do you mean regular ammonia?
