The BB X Enigma project just surprises me over and over, unbelievable!

The clutch mate was absolutely 100% healthy and thriving at the moment but this, very strange. It took 12 days longer fro this was one and 4 days is occasional but 12 is long enough for me to inspect inside, the egg started to turn a nasty colour anyway so......

This is my new discovery:

Two legs and the weirdest looking head I've ever seen almost birdlike but then again it could be a kangaroo.

Anyone ever had this?

My gosh, that is odd! Good thing it wasn't alive when it hatched, its life would have been a nightmare for the little joey...

I have never seen anything like that. I have, however, seen front leg deformities in hatched geckos. Perhaps the front legs develop later that the back legs.
Was it just a regular Tremper?

Considering that you also had all those enigmas that hatched out dead, I'm starting to wonder if you could possibly be using contaminated water or incubation medium. Sorry to hear about this one. Good luck.

Thats nonsense, all the other combo's hatch out just fine and the problems that I've had are with the BB X Enigma. I have other eggs amongst them aswell and they hatch fine so it has nothing to do with the water or incubation medium.

Okay then, don't get your panties all in a bunch, it was just a thought. Next time you post a morbid picture and try to attach a funny title to it I'll just ignore it.

Sorry I guess I could have said that politely without the rude remark. My suggestion about the possible contamination could be upsetting. But didn't you say this one was a tremper? So it's not from the BB x Enigma then. In any event, I wish you all healthy hatchlings!

don't worry, it's just that on some dutch forums people tend to really screw up your name if others start suggesting that you are working with contaminated water and other things. I have been breeding geckos for roughly 6 years now and so far I have had a really tough time with one person who started to spread rumours about me because he appearantly bought a sick animal from me which he just didn't take care of in the right way, didn't give it any calcium and vitamins, that s when you get the bent legs, eye problems and shedding problems.

oh well, don't worry about it ;)

the Enigma is het raptor het blizzard so out of this combo you can get trempers, tremper enigma's or enigma.

Sorry, it didn't even occur to me that I could be soiling someone's reputation by making that suggestion. That's the last thing I want to do. So again, sorry for the suggestion, and sorry for my subsequent rude comment. I thought I was being cute, but it was uncalled for and I apologize.

I sincerely hope you get nothing but healthy hatchlings now and in the future. I'm sure if you've been doing this for 6 years, you are aware of things like water quality. Best of luck to you and your geckos!
