New Owner of a Leopard Gecko

[Nameless Gecko]

Hello All,

I have just purchased a leopard gecko... There were additional letters behind the name... Like GT or GB.. Which I have no clue what that means... But I know that He was not in the same case as the other Leopard Geckos...

Anyway... my shitzu (dog) is going nuts and wants to eat him. Or maybe play with him. So I found him a spot up high so that the dog won't sit barking at the tank all day long.

I have not named him yet... I cannot think of a name ... It needs to come to me. He does not seem to fit a name yet.

I do have a question... I thought they were supposed to sleep during the day and mine is all over the place... (granted I only got him in his new habit as of yesterday...) Is that normal??

just trying to figure out how to communicate here! My geckos are also active during the day sometimes, but I try to let them rest during the day and feed them and get them out in the evenings

I've been reading "Twenty-seven generations of living art" trying to learn about genetics and it's all very interesting, but it would help to get advise and input from anyone that's already been there. Have 6 eggs in the incubator and will soon have more. Just don't want to get overwhelmed before I decide I want to get more serious about this.

Hi Mimi, welcome. For the first few days, the gecko will be pretty active, exploring his new habitat and such. That's normal.

Now about the letters at the end of the name of the gecko, I can't think of anything that would fit those letters. Perhaps it would help if you could post a picture of him, so we can identify him for you. It would also help us on suggesting a name for you!
