I need help figuring out how to heat the cage, i was planning on using an UTH to heat the tiles.

Heres a drawing of what i plan to do. The blue represents molding that will raise the tiles a bit so they are not putting any force on the heat pad (red box). Would some sort of vent at the bottom under the UTH be nessasary? Should i be worried about the heat pad overheating?

Some UTH come with little stick-on rubber 'bumpers' that you use as spacers to prevent heat buildup.

I suspect anything that gives you a 1/4" of clearance between the UTH and the surface it's sitting on would work fine.

sorry guys not much to update on, i painted the insides and glued spacers in for the tiles to sit on...I did make a cool ledge type thing but i havent painted it yet.

Still need to figure out how to light it, what type of front to put on it and install the UTH...
