I think Eddie thinks he is Spiderman. I didnt see it, but he really likes to jump. Maybe why he hurt his leg to begin with. So today I guess he jumped at the wall, and somehow latched ahold of the thermometer tape. I took a couple of pics. Should I take the tape off??

No the tape is probably fine, but does he have a spot to be pretty close to the heat lamp? He may have tried to warm up.

Can you get it any hotter? I read it should be around 110 for a juvenile.

Adults can usually have it 95-100.

But 105-110 is perfect.

It's a matter of preference and also one of debate, but I like to keep my beardie's basking spot a little bit warmer at around 110 degrees F.

I would keep it around 110 as well. you can just remove that strip they are worthless. when measuring the temps dont just measure the air temps measure the temps on the actual basking surface.

100 is perfict for a juvie!!! just for general knowladge!! juvies ussually dont do good in higher temps because they can become dehidrated better. that goes for most animals that like it hot as adults. for example... my mali uromastyxs' have a hot spot of 140 degrees. i dont let the babies get hotter than 100. 110 is perfict for an adult beardie, i mean it doesnt get any better than that... but you can easly cook a baby at that temp.
